Last updated 27 July 2026 · CredibleID is a student project built for a Year 11 Applied Computing assessment. These terms are written in that spirit: honest, simple, and binding on how the prototype may be used.
CredibleID stores academic certificate records on a tamper-proof ledger and lets authorised employers verify them. Once a certificate is written it cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including us. Issuing a certificate is an act of record, not of judgement — the issuing institution alone is responsible for its accuracy.
Students may register themselves. School and employer accounts are created only by the CredibleID administrator, after we are satisfied the organisation is real. You are responsible for keeping your password private. Accounts created for you require you to accept these terms on first sign-in before the service can be used.
You must not attempt to issue records for an institution you do not represent, probe or bypass the security rules, or use the service to misrepresent any qualification. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Student accounts are free. Schools and employers receive a 3-month free trial; after it, a fee of US$0.10 applies per certificate issued (schools) or per verification performed (employers), paid from a prepaid credit balance. When the balance cannot cover an action, the action is declined until credit is added. In this prototype, payments are simulated and no real money is charged.
CredibleID is an educational prototype provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. A VERIFIED result means the record matches the ledger; it is not legal advice or a guarantee of employability.
